These terms govern every order placed on handmyth.com. We have written them in plain language because a policy nobody can read protects nobody. If anything here is unclear, email handmyth.com@gmail.com before you order.
1. Business Entity
HandMyth operates from Yanbu, Dali Town, Nanhai District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China (postal code 528200). Our registered business name and registration number appear on every invoice we issue, and we will provide them on request at handmyth.com@gmail.com.
2. Agreement to These Terms
By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, and that you accept these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version in force when you placed your order is the one that applies to that order.
3. Products, Pricing and Availability
- Handmade means variation. Many of our pieces are made by hand from natural materials. Differences in colour, grain, glaze, weight and exact size are inherent to the craft, not defects. Where a piece varies significantly, we say so on its product page.
- We photograph products as accurately as we can, but screens differ. If the piece you receive looks materially different from the listing, tell us — that is a fault on our side, not a variation.
- All prices are shown in US dollars. Your bank or card issuer converts at its own rate and may add a fee we neither set nor receive.
- If a price is listed incorrectly due to an error, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of paying the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
- Stock levels are live but not infallible. If an item sells out after you order, we email you with the choice of a wait, a substitute, or a full refund.
4. Orders and Payment
4.1 Order acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. A contract exists only once we have taken payment and sent you a dispatch confirmation. Until then we may decline an order — for example where an item is out of stock, where a pricing error has occurred, or where we cannot verify the shipping address — and if we do, we refund you in full.
4.2 Payment methods
We accept major credit and debit cards and the digital wallets offered at checkout; the exact methods available to you depend on your country and device. See our Payment Methods page for the current list. Payment is taken at the time of order. We never see or store your full card number — it is handled by our PCI-DSS compliant payment providers.
5. Shipping and Delivery
Delivery options, charges and estimated timeframes are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guaranteed arrival dates; customs clearance and carrier performance sit outside our control.
Import duties, VAT/GST and carrier handling fees are set by your country and are payable by you. We declare all parcels at their true value.
6. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges
Your rights and our process are set out in full in our Refund & Exchange Policy. In summary: damaged, defective or incorrectly shipped items are always put right at our cost, and where returning a parcel would cost more than the item is worth, we refund you in full and let you keep it.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on this site — product photography, writing, illustrations, logos and layout — belongs to HandMyth or to the artisans who have licensed it to us. You may not copy, republish or commercially reuse it without written permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages, and to quote short extracts with attribution.
8. Your Account and Acceptable Use
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity under your account. You agree not to use this site for anything unlawful, to interfere with its operation, to scrape it at a rate that degrades service for others, or to submit false reviews or fraudulent payment claims.
9. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability arising out of any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays caused by carriers, customs authorities or events beyond our reasonable control.
10. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China. This does not remove any protection you have under the mandatory consumer law of your own country, and we will always try to resolve a complaint directly and quickly — most disputes are a misunderstanding about a parcel, not a legal matter.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms to reflect changes in our products, our carriers or the law. The date of the current version appears below, and material changes are announced on the site.
